The Premise:Dr. Eahb Sig (pictured left, top) will soon be attending an international psychology conference where he will participate in a panel discussion on the contributions of behaviorism, cognitive psychology, and neuroscience on our current understanding of human behavior. His task is to summarize the major findings within the field of the experimental analysis of human behavior and discuss the most important questions that he feels should be addressed in the next five years. Dr. Sig has a number of ideas about what he could talk about, but he hopes that the EAHB-SIG members will provide him with their thoughts. Dr. Sig believes that if enough of the EAHB-SIG members participate in this discussion, something important may come of it -- research. Dr. Sig asks you to submit your thoughts about: a) what can we point to as our most important accomplishments to date, b) what makes those accomplishments significant, and c) what questions should we be attempting to address in the next five years? If the SIG members discuss what we value in past research, this may shape future research. If we identify a few important questions, perhaps someone will answer them. Dr. Sig is a bit nervous about this presentation, and he needs your help! Please take a few minutes to provide him with your input. Also, stop back again to see suggestions provided by your colleagues. For more information on submissions and viewing the comments of others, see the links at the left. Best regards, Secretary to Dr. Eahb Sig |
